The initial appointment is $350.

Every appointment thereafter is $300.

Appointments are approximately 55 minutes long and I ask people to commit to weekly attendance for the first 3-4 months of therapy. People usually either graduate or step down to monthly maintenance appointments after that time.

Every person is unique and different, so your time in therapy might vary.

Do you take insurance?

Good question. Complicated question.

The short answer: No, I don’t work directly with insurance. I’ve made the decision to work directly with my clients regarding payment, and they are very satisfied with this arrangement.
I’d be happy to explain my reasoning behind this decision in more detail. Just send me a message and we can discuss.

The long answer: I am an Out-of-Network (OON) provider. What that means is if you have Out-Of-Network benefits then you would pay me for your appointments, and I can give you a detailed receipt for you to take back to your insurance to seek reimbursement options.

Depending on your insurance policy, some (not all) policies will offer partial reimbursement to you for out-of-network services. If you are interested in seeing if your insurance company offers this, call them to ask if your specific policy reimburses for out-of-network mental health services, and what deductible you must reach before reimbursement is offered.

Lastly, many of my clients actually prefer to work with me privately and not involve their insurance at all. This is because in order to use your insurance for counseling, a mental health diagnosis is required, and this gets attached to your record. Insurance can also put limitations on the number of counseling sessions you can have, that may end prior to truly completing the process.
